Are you smoking right now?
When we the last time you picked up your guitar?
When was the first time?
What song/artist most inspired you to write music?
It's difficult to say really. As a lad I was into all sorts of random stuff from weird sixties records that my dad had to cock rock like INXS. At the moment it's people like Davey Graham and Bert Jansch.
Have you ever used your talent to pull chicks?
Yes. She is now my wife.
What's your biggest showbiz moment to date?
Tell me about Mohanski?
Well......It's hard to say. We play whatever music we feel like and swap around instruments from song to song. Everyone chips in with singing and writing - we listen to all sorts of stuff between us. To be honest we just do it for fun but it's taking off a bit. We're putting out an album here next year and small label in Spain is releasing it there. We're also meant to have a 7-inch coming out at some point as well. Check us out www.myspace.com/mohanski.
I understand you'll be playing a Moor Music festival next year. Can you tell me more about the festival?
It is a small, totally independent, festival on Ilkley Moor in Yorkshire. It's rumoured to be a really good weekend - maybe you should come up.
Do you play any other instruments?
Yes, I play piano, bass and recorder.
Do you remember the first time you were on stage? How did it feel?
Yes, I felt slightly nauseous.
Where was your last gig?
Last week at the Water Rats with Mohanski. This was our last gig for a few months as we are recording the album over winter. It was a top night.
Who would you most like to support on tour?
Spinal Tap or maybe Bad News.
Has anyone ever taken you for someone famous?
My Uncle Charlie thinks I look like Tom Cruise. No one else does though....
What three things do you love most in the world?
My wife. My daughter. Chevy Chase.
