MCR Release The Black Parade
Original Black Parade Announcement - Fall 2006
The Black Parade is MCR's third studio album, following 2004's Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and their debut album I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love, released in 2002.

My Chemical Romance were still on the road promoting Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and Live on the Murder Scene when they started working on new tracks in a studio rigged up in the back of their tour bus. "Even though Three Cheers hadn't been out that long," says bassist Mikey Way, "We could hardly wait to jump into album three."
Recording for The Black Parade got underway in the spring at Eldorado Recording Studion in Los Angeles. Rob Cavallo, who as worked with MCR tour mates Green Day, was in the producter's seat.

"Rob was integral to this project," says guitarist Frank Iero. "He has such a pure love of music that it becomes infectious. He can talk about music in terms of emotions, and help you convey those emotions in the correct way."
Guiarist Ray Toro concurs. "Sonically, Rob is a master, he says. "It is a joy to watch him craft tones that make your song sound like you always dreamed it would."
As successful as Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge turned out to be, the band has higher hopes for The Black Parade. "We want this to be the album that My Chemical Romance is remembered for," says Mikey. "We all have records that shaped our childhood and teen years. When you hear a song, it shoots you back to a moment in time. We want this album to do that for people. We want the entire world to be moved."
