Public Image Limited Return for 2009 Tour Dates

I was doing some page updates here at Deaconlight and I discovered that Public Image Limited (finally) launched the official PiL website – www.pilofficial.com today. PiL will perform five live dates in the UK in December 2009 to note 30 years since PiL unveiled the 1979 UK release Metal Box (released 1980 in the USA as the double-album Second Edition). According to the PiL website, the shows will include songs selected from the band's entire repertoire, not just Metal Box.

The lineup includes founding member John Lydon along with guitarist Lu Edmonds, drummer Bruce Smith, bassist Scott Firth.

These are the dates posted on the PiL site 7 September 2009:

1. 15 December 2009 – Birmingham, 02 Academy
2. 16 December 2009 – Leeds, 02 Academy
3. 18 December 2009 – Glasgow, 02 Academy
4. 19 December 2009 – Manchester, Academy
5. 21 December 2009 – London Brixton, 02 Academy
