The Femmes played in Greensboro, NC, Saturday 9 September 2006. Photos on this page are by Dino Cooper. We also have a guest review by Femmes' Fan, Bunnia.
For the fourth time, the Violent Femmes MySpace page was unexpectedly deleted without notice or warning. A new version has appeared at www.myspace.com/pleasedonotgo, playing off the song "Please Do Not Go" from the first Violent Femmes record. This page started adding friends on July 6. Wonder how long it will last?
Meanwhile, fake and fan Violent Femmes MySpace pages have been growing like weeds on MySpace since about that time. If you go to MySpace Music and search for Violent Femmes, you won't find the real Violent Femmes MySpace page listed there. The only way to go to find the real Violent Femmes page is to know someone what their MySpace code name is. For now, it is www.myspace.com/pleasedonotgo. Now whether it will still be there when you read this, I don't know. If this one disappears, check back here and if I know the new Code Name, I will post it.

Violent Femmes Pictures
These pictures were taken when the Violent Femmes played Friday's in Greensboro. I believe this was in 1983 or 1984. I have an interview I did with Brian Ritchie and Gordon Gano on the sidewalk out front the afternoon of the show. I need to find it and post here. They were really nice and the show was awesome.
My friend Julie took these shots. Not bad considering how old they are and that she was using a cheap camera.
