This record is a little confusing to classify. It was first released on Mercury as Man of Words/Man of Music. Then RCA released it as Space Oddity and the title track became the first real hit in the USA that I know of.

Wasn't it a hit after The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars came out?
