The most requested song of my career was "I'm Straight." It is unfortunate that more of Jonathan Richman's other work was not as well known. The first Modern Lovers record is great great great. Includes "Pablo Picasso was Never Called an Asshole" (later recorded by John Cale), "She Cracked," and "Roadrunner." This is a fun driving-around-and-listening-to-rock-and-roll record that with a 1975 release was way ahead of its time. In addition to Richman, future Talking Head Jerry Harrison and future Car David Robinson are also on this record.
