Wired (1976) - Jeff Beck
This was a great followup to the 1975 release Blow by Blow, although BBB is still my favorite Jeff Beck album.
It was around the time this album came out, however, that mastery of an instrument was becoming less important to pop culture than just being able to play three chords. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But I confess the punk scene did pull me away from instrumental music - and the appreciation of artists who could truly play their instruments.
When Wired came out, I bought it on cassette instead of vinyl. Dumb move. No telling where that cassette is now.
Jeff Beck continues to put out amazing music in the 21st century, including the 2001 released Emotion and Commotion. Nigel Tufnel owes a lot to this guy.
