This was Bowie's first full collaboration with Eno. The first side of the LP is more accessible pop while the second side is very cerebral instrumentals. This came out around the time Bowie starred in "The Man Who Fell to Earth." That's him as Thomas Newton aka Mr. Sussex in the title role of this weird sci-fi film. I saw it when I was 15 and didn't really understand it. But I was still fascinated with it since Bowie was the star.
