Even with all the unique sounds coming around at the turn of the 1979/1980 decade, The Residents managed to stand out as one of the most unusual. All the songs on this record are barely more than a minute and you get a total of 40. If I recall correctly, the point was to create songs with no verse-chorus-verse, just the songs sung one time. That's why they are so short - no repeated lyrics. The 25th anniversary edition comes with a book with these lyrics.
