Controversy (Oct. 1981) - Prince
Controversy is Prince's fourth album and the first one I played on the radio. Some of the better songs on Controversy were unplayable over-the-air on WFDD at the time, however.
I had heard of Prince a few years earlier. I recall Deaconlight DJ Gardner Campbell panning a Prince album. Not sure which one. By the time Controversy came out, it was no longer uncool to play Prince on our shows.
