Urgh! A Music War (1981) - Various Artists

Urgh! A Music War album cover« Various Artists/Compilations

Urgh! A Music War is an awesome 2-disk live LP with performances by many cool bands from the period, particularly those on or related to IRS Records and A&M (the label that released the Urgh! album).

A movie version of Urgh! A Music War was also released when this record came out. For the past three decades, it's been hard to track down. In 2009, Urgh! A Music War finally became available on DVD. The movie includes some bands who aren't on my record (such as Dead Kennedys and Surf Punks).

Somehow I ended up with two vinyl copies of Urgh! A Music War. One copy has the top corner of the cover chewed off. That happened when the collie I owned back in the 1980s - The Boonog -- was bored one day while I was at work.
