Depeche Mode are the quintessential techno band of the 80s. I was a fan from the beginning. "Get the Balance Right" originally came out on an EP in 1983, then eventually showed up on the LP People Are People in 1984. It was around this time they started getting regular airplay on KZL with the title cut.
