The Pretenders - Learning to Crawl double double eighth note - one of dd's alltime favorite records

Released January 21, 1984

I don't have time right now to explain how awesome, how wonderful, how UNREAL!, this record is. The songwriting is great. The music is great. One of my all-time favorite songs - I mean of any band - is "Time the Avenger."

In fact, every time I return to Winston-Salem, especially around Wake Forest, the song "My City Was Gone" goes through my head. Winston has become one big highway. And even WFU is almost unrecognizable to me.

Yeah, I know I am not saying much right now. But it does't matter. If you know this record, then you KNOW. If you don't know this record, you should KNOW.
