Eventually I will get around to writing an essay relating to this record. You know I don't write reviews. Still I hope I don't sound like a rock critic if I say this combination of pop-rock-stories fits in great with the summer pop sound I have been into lately e.g. The Raconteurs. In fact yesterday Michael was telling me I should download some of Brendon Benson's music from eMusic. (Brendon co-sings and co-songwrites with Jack White in the Raconteurs).
I could write a book about Michael even though I have only recently met him face-to-face for the first time. After much persistence, I finally was able to get Michael to drop a copy of the CD to me so I could finally get a chance to meet him. We have talked on the phone for the past three years. And Michael is another one of those friends that it is impossible to have a short conversation with. He is one of the most musically savvy people I know. Someday I will connect the dots between Michael, Patrick, Fred, Stephen, and U2. (Who? Well, there is a story there that got rolling on my birthday in 2005.)
